Next Encounter is May 5, at 6:30 pm

Encounter is an all worship service we enjoy on the first Sunday evening of each month at 6:30 pm.
It is a exciting time for us to join together as a church family to focus on praising God and prayer for
our church, our community and our people. This is always an amazing service where we fully seek
to encounter God’s presence.

Informational Meeting – Sunday, April 28
We’re headed back to Houston to support Abraham and Oh Maya in their work with Nepali Refugees.
We’ll have VBS for children, discipleship for youth, and prayer and outreach with families. Last year was an
amazing experience. In addition to the Nepali, we had the privilege of getting to know children and youth from
Myanmar, Niger, the Republic of Congo, and elsewhere. Join us for an informational meeting on April 28th,
right after church. Cost for the trip is $200 per person.

• MORE THAN SURVIVAL – Steve & Karen Lawson
  In this class for married couples we will try to discover if it is possible to create a marriage that is secure, satisfying and passionate in the way God Intends. • WORSHIP FUNDAMENTALS – DJ Mantooth
  In the Worship Fundamentals class we will be focusing on the biblical models of worship and how they apply today. There will be teaching and discussion times during each class. For more information contact DJ Mantooth at (dj@graceweb.net).
• PARABLES FROM NATURE – Ben Smith
  Or otherwise known as, “Paradoxes, Enigmas and Outright Contradictions.” This study will reveal spiritual concepts through illustrations from Ben’s work, natural science and math. Ben will begin with the conflict between science and religion. The study will cover the topics of sin, law, grace and purification through the lens of Ben’s unique illustrations which will include the Fukushima nuclear disaster, wave-particle duality, transform theory, metallurgy, integrated circuit production and the central principle of improvisational comedy.

We have a special mission trip opportunity this year with “Mission of Hope Haiti” from August 10-17.
We will be able to help out with VBS, work projects and ministry in the same village each day.
The 1st payment of $700 is due May 26th. The final payment will be due July 7th. For more information
