Serving at Grace

At Grace Community, we have many different opportunities for service in the church and in the community. Each of our teams is described below with some key positions.
Guest Relations Team: The goal of this team is to help our guests to connect to our church. Our team is made up of door greeters, connect booth hosts, ushers and coffee preparation. For a list of our key needs click here. If you are interested in any of these positions, contact Kim Cartier, Director of Communications.
Supervision and Safety Team: The supervision and safety team members are responsible for all areas of safety and security within Grace. They are the first responders in all matters of emergency including: emergency evacuation, fire, first aid response, child safety, severe weather response and conflict resolution. They will assist with building lock-up, transportation of weekly offerings and special events. An orientation class is offered for all team members with more specific training in certain positions. If you are interested on this team, contact Adam Brind, Youth Pastor.
Admin Team: Our admin team helps with many different jobs in the church office. These amazing volunteers help with many different tasks such as; preparing bulletins, compiling training materials such as Discovering Grace folders and prayer training manuals, a runner to help with the many different trips around town, and the design and management of our web page. So if you would like to volunteer an hour or several days, we could use your help. For a detailed list of available opportunities, click here. Contact: Kim Cartier, Communications Director.
Reel Kids Children’s Ministry: The children’s ministry team is by far the largest and most diverse team in the church. This team is made up of teachers, teacher assistants, worship leaders, nursery helpers, audio visual techs, and check-in greeters. We use a wide variety of gifts to create a welcoming and safe environment where children can know God and deepen their relationship with him. Some of our more pressing needs are highlighted at the link below. For an extensive list of positions available with complete job descriptions click here. Contact: Cindy McKinney, Children’s Ministry Director.
Epic Youth Ministry: The Epic youth ministry team is perhaps the fastest growing most involved and active team in our church. Some simply volunteer to be support help at events and on trips and others are deeply invested in the lives of our students. Some of our key needs are highlighted below. For an extensive list of positions available click here. Contact Adam Brind, Youth Pastor.
Worship Team: Each worship team member, from the musicians to the computer operators is equally important in leading our church into God’s presence. Our worship team is made up of musicians, vocalists, sound technicians and computer operators. For a list of key needs click here. Contact: DJ Mantooth, Worship Pastor.
Prayer Team: This is the team that prays for people during our services as well as in small group settings throughout the week. All prayer team members must complete an 8 week training class. If you are interested in serving on this team, contact Steve Lawson, Senior Pastor.
Special Projects: Our special projects team takes on short term repair, construction and design projects around the church. This team is not an ongoing team that meets weekly or monthly but rather those on this team are called on for the duration of the particular project they are working on. Examples of these projects include decoration, set design and construction for our dinner theater, miscellaneous repairs around our building and offices and small construction projects for our children’s and youth ministry. If you are interested in helping on this team, contact John Redd.
Community Ministries: In addition to the various church ministry positions, there are also ministries in our community that you can be a part of. For a list of different ministries that our church members are involved in, click here.
