“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
The greatest expression of God’s love was in the form of His son, Jesus. Another great expression of God’s love is when we meet another person’s need. Whether we provide food to someone in His name, offer encouraging words or pray with another to receive the Lord as their Savior, we desire for every member of Grace to develop a heart for those who are hurting.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God to salvation to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
We believe that God still loves Israel and longs for her to know Him as Messiah. As we seek to partner with mission organizations all over the world, we believe we must turn our hears towards God’s people. God commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, so we pray for both her physical and spiritual peace. As we pray we partner with organizations that provide the gospel through relationships, leadership training and emergency relief. It is our honor to bring the glorious gospel back to the people through whom it originally came.
Jaime and Lori Useche are dedicated to carrying out the Great Commission of our lord among the people of the Amazon. Based in Leticia, Colombia, the ministry reaches out to all nations and people. Members travel by boat, foot and plane to the most remote areas of the region bringing the Good News, baptizing followers, building churches and bringing much needed medical care. The Bible mission alone has distributed over 160,000 bibles in the past 10 years in an area where a Bible was once a very rare possession. It is estimated that more than a million people in this isolated area now have access to the Word of our Lord because of the efforts, labors and support of the Amazon Ministries International and YWAM (Youth With A Mission)- Leticia. Our church is honored to partner with Jaime and Lori both in financial support, prayer support and in sending teams to help with pastor training, children’s ministry and evangelical crusades. 2012 will mark our fouth trip with Jaime as we are invited back to Peru. Bob and Donna Giffin left Chicago in 1991 and relocated to Reynosa, Mexico with hearts to share the Gospel with Mexican people. Since then, they have trained and sent out pastors and leaders to many parts of Latin America. Although our heart is with Bob and Donna and the people of Palabra De Fe Church, recent violence in Reynosa has prevented Grace from sending a team to the area for the past three years. We were able to send a flatbed trailer, full of rice and beans, to McAllen, Texas early in 2011. Bob and Donna were able to deliver a few bags at a time to the members of the church. God is moving in Reynosa so continue to pray for His power to be seen and for the safety and peace of the people of Mexico, the members of this powerful church and Bob and Donna. Global Advance exists to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by empowering national church and business leaders to evangelize and disciple their nations and plant churches among the un-reached, by encouraging the church to reach its full missions potential and by enlisting prayer partners for global spiritual harvest.
Global Advance believes there are three keys to changing nations. These keys are pastoral leaders, marketplace leaders and women in leadership. Our ministry focuses on these three areas to encourage evangelism, church planting and missionary service.
Our church feels very connected with Global Advance because we believe in the power of of the local church and the effectiveness of indigenous people in reaching their own culture. Pastor Steve and Adam have both had the privilege of training pastors and seeing the faces of people as they receive the only Bible or training material that they have ever had. It is our desire for many more of our Grace members to attend a conference as prayer support or as teachers in the Market Place Seminars all over the world. Nepal Refugees and Nepali Church –Nepal & Houston, Texas
Abraham and Om Maya are from Nepal and oversee church plants and schools in their home country while also ministering to Nepali refugees in the inner-city of Houston, Texas. The financial and physical needs among these refugees are great, but their need for God’s love is even greater. Abraham and Om understand the social caste system of Nepal and their love for the “unclean” or “untouchables” speaks volumes. They help support and feed children, hold Vacation Bible Schools, plant churches, build relationships and share the Gospel whether they are in Texas or on the other side of the world.
