About us

To know God, grow together in faith, and proclaim Christ.

We believe we were designed to know God, enjoy a relationship with him, and worship him as Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We do this by growing in the Word together, building each other up in love, and living in transformational community. As an outpouring of our worship and growth, we desire to center our lives and ministry on the Gospel of the Kingdom and to share it with others wherever we go.

Our Core Values

The Gospel

We believe there is salvation in no one else other than Jesus. Therefore, we desire to consistently proclaim the good news about a relationship with Jesus Christ and the life in his kingdom brings, both now and in eternity. What God did in and through Jesus to reconcile humanity to himself is the basis for our restored identity, our gracious salvation, and our mission to a world desperately in need of him. Additionally, we consider Jesus to be not only our savior, but also our king. And as such, we submit ourselves to his rule and authority.

God's Word

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God that provides knowledge for salvation and righteous living. In the written Word of God, we come to know the revealed Word of God, Jesus. We value the work of the Holy Spirit in each believer to correctly handle the Word of truth for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, so we may be equipped for every good work.

Community

If God’s purposes and roles for the church in the world are to be taken seriously, we need each other to accomplish them. We believe God’s salvation includes bringing individuals into a community gathered by and under the Gospel. And we grow when sharing our lives with others in our church family.

Additionally, we desire to take Jesus’ call to love our neighbors seriously. We desire renewal in our community through reconciling relationships, showing mercy, and seeking justice and healing. In this way, we will bring blessings to our neighbors and town so that God would be known and glorified.

Discipleship

We believe that a growing relationship with our Heavenly Father means that we will grow to look more like Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, both individually and communally. We value spiritual growth as mature believers entrust what has been given to them to others within our community. We believe there is no such thing as an “unsent” disciple, so we seek to be a part of a discipleship movement. We believe every follower of Jesus is to reproduce their life and ways through gospel proclamation and helping new believers become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Our Elders

We are an independent, non-denominational church, led by our local elders. This group of men shepherds our congregation in the knowledge of the word and discipleship. Under their leadership we pursue our mission to know God, grow together in faith, and proclaim him.

Staff

Our staff desire to shepherd the congregation at Grace. We serve the members f oour community through the teaching of the Word, discipleship, prayer, and entrusting ministry to our members.

Deacons

Deacons are set apart for mercy, service, and outreach ministry. They gather gifts and offerings, care for them faithfully, and distribute them with wisdom and compassion to persons in need and for purposes that advance God’s kingdom on earth. Deacons visit and comfort the distressed, provide for whatever necessities arise, and assist the congregation at worship services. Elders, together with the deacons, enable the whole mission of the church.
