21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

21 Days Prayer and Fasting  |  Sunday, January 10 — Sunday, January 31st

Join us as we seek Christ together through prayer and fasting during January. Starting on January 10th, we’ll post a daily devotional to help us walk this season of prayer, repentance, submission and worship together.

Sunday Service Schedule

Sunday Services  |  Sunday, March 22 @ 10:30 am — At Grace and via Grace Family Connects YouTube Channel

We are holding services in the building and broadcasting live via our YouTube Channel. We’ve rearranged the chairs to give us more space and are encouraging good hygiene. But very much value the gathering together on Sunday morning.

Children’s activities are also happening on Sunday morning. We have the following classes: nursery for those under 2, toddler and preschool for those 2-5 years of age, and an elementary/preteen class for those going into Kindergarten through those going into 6th grade. Social distancing is imperfect at best in these environments. If parents would prefer to keep their children with them in the main service, that is totally encouraged.

Advent 2020 Week 2 Day 3

Advent 2020 Devotion |  Week 2  |  Day 3

Zechariah waited for his son to be born. The children of Israel waited for Messiah to come. Creation waited for redemption to arrive. Are you waiting for something promised or hoped for? God fulfills his promises. Always. Elizabeth and Zechariah received the child they hoped for long after it was possible. But it was in God’s perfect time. Everything about their story is unexpected. And perfectly part of God’s design.

If you have young children in your home, you might choose to use the New Living Translation. Reflect together by observing what the text said. Observe what is happening, where is it taking place, when it occurred, and who is involved. Apply the meaning. Ask each other how the text challenged you, what it made you think about, or how it made you feel. And then worship. Worship through quite meditation, out loud praise, and song. We’ll include links to lyrics or videos. Finish with prayer.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 1: 18-25
OBSERVE AND REFLECT
WORSHIP CAROL MUSIC & LYRICS: O Holy Night
PRAY TOGETHER

WANT MORE: In the Old Testament, we seen God reaffirm and provide sign posts for who was coming and how his redemption would be provided over and over again. In Daniel 7: 9-14, we are called to worship in anticipation of the One who is to come.

Advent 2020 Week 2 Day 2

Advent 2020 Devotion |  Week 2  |  Day 2

We know the end of the story. But Elizabeth and Zechariah didn’t. They knew something extraordinary was happening. But how and when did they understand that they were part of THE central story of all humanity? As you reflect on the passage today, remember that they were still waiting for God’s redemption in the midst of their story.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 1: 8-17
OBSERVE AND REFLECT
WORSHIP CAROL MUSIC & LYRICS: Come Thou Long Expected Jesus

WANT MORE: God revealed more of his plans for redemption with Abraham. Read about God’s call to Abraham and his promise to bring redemption to all through him in Genesis 12: 1-5.

Advent 2020 Week 2 Day 1

Advent 2020 Devotion |  Week 2  |  Day 1

This week, we focus on a family that God used to show how he had been working since the beginning of time to bring his redemption to the world. That description applies to Mary and Joseph, but that’s not our focus. Rather, we focus on the powerful story of Elizabeth and Zechariah. Every detail of their narrative points to the intricate, complex, and eternal plan of God to bless his people. Reflect on their story with your family or friends this week.
