service times
Currently, we’re meeting on Sunday morning at our regularly scheduled time of 10:30 a.m. Children’s services also happen on Sunday morning. We plan our children’s activities with the intent that our children learn the Bible, and will be taught it in an age appropriate manner. our core values
We desire to Know God, Grow together in faith, and Proclaim Christ.
The Gospel
We believe there is salvation in no one else other than Jesus. Therefore, we desire to consistently proclaim the good news about a relationship with Jesus Christ and the life in his kingdom brings, both now and in eternity. What God did in and through Jesus to reconcile humanity to himself is the basis for our restored identity, our gracious salvation, and our mission to a world desperately in need of him. Additionally, we consider Jesus to be not only our savior, but also our king. And as such, we submit ourselves to his rule and authority.
God’s Word
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God that provides knowledge for salvation and righteous living. In the written Word of God, we come to know the revealed Word of God, Jesus. We value the work of the Holy Spirit in each believer to correctly handle the Word of truth for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, so we may be equipped for every good work.
Community
If God’s purposes and roles for the church in the world are to be taken seriously, we need each other to accomplish them. We believe God’s salvation includes bringing individuals into a community gathered by and under the Gospel. And we grow when sharing our lives with others in our church family.
Additionally, we desire to take Jesus’ call to love our neighbors seriously. We desire renewal in our community through reconciling relationships, showing mercy, and seeking justice and healing. In this way, we will bring blessings to our neighbors and town so that God would be known and glorified.
Discipleship
We believe that a growing relationship with our Heavenly Father means that we will grow to look more like Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, both individually and communally. We value spiritual growth as mature believers entrust what has been given to them to others within our community. We believe there is no such thing as an “unsent” disciple, so we seek to be a part of a discipleship movement. We believe every follower of Jesus is to reproduce their life and ways through gospel proclamation and helping new believers become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
who we are
Grace began in the living room of Steve and Karen Lawson in April of 1999. Their desire was to seek God with authenticity and to pursue radical Grace rather than legalistic religion.
Grace has grown to a dynamic, diverse body with ministries for men and women, students, and children. We serve God’s kingdom locally in Greenville, Texas and abroad with Outreach Partners in Reynosa, Mexico, Vancouver, British Columbia and missions trainers in Colorado. We are non-denominational with a love of Scripture, worship, service, and each other.
Christopher Heslep joined our team as our lead pastor in March of 2021. Our elders, leaders, and church family are excited to see where God leads our congregation in this next season of ministry, service, and growth. But God’s purposes for Grace remain uniquely fashioned for this time and this place. Join us as we see his plans unfold.
